Evensong with Janáček's 'Otčenáš'

The Choir will perform Janáček's Otčenáš – which featured on our recent recording KYRIE – as the anthem at Evensong, taking place in St John's College Chapel.

As on the recording, the Choir will be performing the work with tenor soloist Michael Bell (a current member of the choir) and harpist Anne Denholm, the Official Harpist to HRH The Prince of Wales.

Copies of the CD will be available in the antechapel afterwards.

Joanna Ward

On Thursday 26 October, the Choir performed the first commission of the term: 'The Banquet' by undergraduate Joanna Ward. The piece featured men's voices and a double bass, played by Joe Cowie, and it was funded with generous support from Paul & Joanna Lindsell and Jeremy & Jodie Podger.
