"reverential soft singing ... They also sing with indefatigable zest and skill. The ringing tone of the tenors must be specially mentioned, as well as the excellent basses (who produce a fine low E flat at the end of "et sepultus est", remarkable for such young singers). The quality of the orchestra needs no stressing by now, while Guest directs the whole performance admirably." Gramophone 1974
