The Choir of St John's College, Cambridge

This week, the Choir are on holiday (hence why the webcast comes from earlier in the Lent term) and supposedly enjoying some time off – one of the perks of singing at St John's, compared to a Cathedral choir, for instance, is that our holidays aren't eaten up by singing services all the way up to Easter or Christmas. That doesn't stop the Gents being busy though! The routine of services and University or College commitments during the terms mean that the majority of the Gents gigs, private and professional engagements, happen during the holidays. Just in the last week, the Gents have sung at two weddings, led a workshop at Ludgrove School in Berkshire and given concerts in Bryanston and Leicester Cathedral. Meanwhile their Facebook page has just topped 1000 fans (the Choir's is just behind!) and getting geared up to release another CD of close-harmony which will be their 9th CD release since their first in 1994 (pictured in all its retro glory above....).
