This week's blog
Today, Tuesday, the BBC sound engineers are rigging the Chapel for our broadcast of Choral Evensong tomorrow. The Choir will be joined for the service by St John's Sinfonia and will involve a liturgical performance of Bach's Cantata no 192, Nun danket alle Gott. This will be the first live radio performance which the Sinfonia, made up of the best period instrument players in the country, have given with the Choir, led by our Musician in Residence, Maggie Faultless. The Sinfonia played on our recently released disc of Mozart Masses for Chandos and on our most recent recording of Purcell and Humphrey, to be released in September.
