For this service of Ash Wednesday, the choir sings music by Byrd, Allegri and Tallis. The Italian composer, Allegri, sets the text of Psalm 51, featuring two choirs; the full choir and the semi-chorus, with plainsong between each verse. This service was broadcast live on BBC Radio Three.
