Epiphany Carol Service 2018

This Candlelit Service of readings and music celebrates the season of Epiphany.

Music includes Silent night (arr. Ledger), Poulenc's Quatre Motets pour le temps de Noël, The Linden Tree Carol (arr. Jacques), Ding dong! merrily on high (arr. Wilberg), The Shepherd's Carol (Chilcott), Sir Christèmas (Mathias), Lute-book Lullaby (L'Estrange), Vox in Rama (Kirbye) and Nunc dimittis (Holst).

The readings and hymns tell the story of the coming of Christ, the Magi’s visit, and the presentation in the Temple.

It is with sadness that we announce that the Master of St John's College, Professor Sir Christopher Dobson, died on Sunday 8 September.

He is survived by his wife, Dr Mary Dobson, their sons, Richard and William, and his beloved dog, Jimbo. He was diagnosed with cancer earlier this year and died at the Royal Marsden Hospital, Surrey. A full tribute to Sir Christopher can be viewed on the College website.
