Recorded on
Sunday, 22 January 2017

The Epiphany Carol Service is the first webcast of Lent term, with the choir resuming its residence under the leadership of Acting Director of Music, John Challenger.

Epiphany celebrates the appearance of God’s glory in the world through the birth of Jesus, our Emmanuel (‘God with us’), and the revelation of the incarnation to the Gentiles, and indeed the whole of creation. The candlelit service features readings from the New Testament, and music by Byrd, Cornelius, Dering, Eccard, Gardner, Messiaen, Poulenc, Rachmaninoff, Tallis and Wilberg.
