Nan Guest

It is with great sadness that we hear of the passing of Nan Guest - widow of former Director of Music George Guest - on 8 February after a short illness.

Nan was a tremendous supporter of the Choir for over fifty years, and regularly attended Chapel services until shortly before she died.  She will be sadly missed by all who knew her.   Here she is with the George Guest Chorister Medal, which she commissioned in 2007.  The design is based on the cymbelstern of the St John’s Chapel Organ, and the colour reflects George’s passion for Chester City and Bangor City football clubs.

Our thoughts and prayers are with Nan’s children, David and Elizabeth, and their families at this sad time.

Evensong on Friday, 8th June will be dedicated to Nan's memory. It will be held in the College Chapel at the usual time of 6:30pm.
